Monkey See, Monkey Do!

There is nothing like floating through the many different and unique shops of fellow FAM team members to see what is new, hip and happening. I have noticed that there seems to be a bit of a Sock Monkey following within the team. If you head to etsy and search 'FAM team sock monkey' you will see what I mean and will find all kinds of sock monkeys -

From Bam Designs, a very groovy Sock Monkey Fun Outfit for your cheeky little monkey

From Whimsical Creations a cute polymer clay Sock Monkey Figure

A new print that I adore from Elegant Snobbery, called 'Sir Jimmy and the Dragon' that would be great hanging in a little one's castle

And from Antoinette's Boutique a fun way to make yours or your little one's seat belt more comfy a Sock Monkey and Chenille Minky Dot Car Seat Belt Cover

All these great items inspired me to join in the monkey fun and make the first of Giggleberry Creation's colorful Sock Monkey Banners

Photo Feedback!

I love thinking up new colors, patterns and themes for Giggleberry's bunting flag sets and seeing them come together, but love even more having custom orders placed and seeing what other people have imagined come to life.
It is a very rewarding process but I am always a little nervous when posting off a completed custom set, that it will fulfill the buyers imagination. Whether it's a sweet neutral colored set for the nursery of a new bubby, a themed set for a bedroom of a child who knows exactly what they want, or a particularly colored or patterned set for an artisan's craft fair tent.
I think the only thing better in the whole process than having 'customer feedback' come in from a happy buyer who just loves their flags is seeing Giggleberry Creation's flags in use!
I love, love, love receiving photos from buyers of their very own flags set up just how they had planned from even before they had decided to make the purchase.

I can completely understand and appreciate this. The very first bunting set I ever completed was for my daughters room to match the quilt her Grandma Barbara made and as soon as they were hanging above her cot I just had to grab the camera and snap away!

The latest 'photo feedback' I received was from a fellow FAM (Fabulous Artistic Moms) team member - Annie Howes of Annie Howes Keepsakes. Just recently Annie has braved the world of craft fairs with her gorgeous items and asked me to make her a set of flags to help her fair tent stand out from the others.

I think they work pretty well.... what do you think??

Thick Felted Toddler Shoes!

Handmade baby shoes are wonderful and fairly easy to find but as the little person in your world gets bigger - well, the soles need to be a bit more substantial. These are still very soft, cushiony and flexible for comfort  but with more sole!

Earth Baby Boutique

This past week, I received a package in the mail from Earth Baby Boutique of Etsy. Recently, I had just run out of dryer sheets and had seen her listing for a dryer sachet. I am all for trying to make changes in my life to better the environment. So, I thought a reusable dry sachet would be good to try out. While I was browsing her shop, I came across her laundry detergent too. Only one tablespoon of her detergent was needed for a whole load of clothes. I was a bit skeptical, but thought that I would give it a try.

Well, it is Saturday - laundry day. I started the washer, and added only one tablespoon of detergent as directed. When the cycle was finished, I was pleasantly surprised! My clothes were clean and smelled great, and I had used only a tablespoon of soap - compared to the huge scoop that comes in the box if tide. Next, I loaded my clothes into the dryer and added the clean linen scented sachet. Not only did my clothes have a fresh scent, but they were extra soft too! I highly recommend everyone reading this post to visit Earth Baby Boutique. Her products are wonderful and make it easy to go green.
