Spring Rain Fabric Basket

I recently finished a room sized rag rug. Since that project, I have been making rag quilts and baskets. I love the look of crocheted fabric strips. My latest creation is Spring Rain Fabric Basket, made by crocheting fabric strips. Click HERE to visit my Esty shop if you are interested in purchasing this particular basket. I will also be listing baskets in my new Artfire Studio as well.

Quilted Fabric Crib Rail Guard Tutorial

This Quilted Fabric Crib Rail Guard Tutorial is an original design created by me. It is a simple pattern that even a beginner sewer could complete. This tutorial leads you step by step through designing and sewing a quilted crib rail guard protector.

Once all of your materials are gathered, this project should take about three hours to complete for one full length guard. Depending on the size of the rail that you are covering, it may take more or less time.

This 10 page tutorial is a PDF file which includes 38 color photos with 18 steps. This tutorial also has a simple formula to help you customize a design specifically for your crib rail. This design is intended for rails of uniform width. The best part about this project is that you will be able to match the fabric to the bedding in your child's nursery. And, if you want to cover multiple rails, it will be very affordable to do so.
